Folks, NMFS has closed the large medium and giant Atlantic bluefin tuna fishery for the General Category (commercial category) and for charter boats fishing commercially on January 22nd, 2012.  For recreational bluefin fishermen, this mostly impacts boats fishing right now in North Carolina where the fish are big and the captains make an agreement with charters that the boat keeps fish to sell under their commercial license. …

Thanks for the details.  That is a beautiful picture.  The water is lighter in color - is that because the water is shallow?  By chance did you tag this bluefin on the release?
